School Days Remembered: Making a Mini School Uniform for your Memory Bear

A school memory bear is a beautiful way to preserve precious moments from school life. Whether it’s a gift for a recent graduate or a keepsake for parents who want to remember their child's early years, a memory bear made from a child's school uniform makes a timeless keepsake.  Read on to see how you can create a mini school uniform for jointed bears such as the Funky Friends Factory Calico Bear.

With careful pattern placement, you can incorporate the embroidered school crest into your teddy bear's cardigan. The pattern provides guidance on using the existing button placket to give an authentic look.

No school uniform is complete without a little polo shirt peeking out from underneath the bears' cardigan! The Newport Polo Shirt pattern features clear step-by-step instructions to guide you through the process of creating the shirt placket and collar.

The Scarlett Skirt is a perfect fit for the Calico Bear. The flat front keeps the tummy area smooth, while the gently flared bottom allows the skirt to drape nicely behind the bear when the teddy is in the seated position.
