28 page sewing pattern and tutorial that’s available for immediate download so you can start your project straight away. The pattern is sized to fit on A4 and US Letter Paper. A PDF reader (e.g. Adobe Reader or Preview for MAC) will be required to view and print the file.

The pattern measurements are given in inches and centimetres.

Skill level

Confident Beginner. No experience in making teddy bear clothes is necessary as each step is explained fully. You will need to have a basic knowledge of how to use a sewing machine.

Sizing

The pattern is designed to fit 15-18 inch teddy bears such as 'Build A Bear' and ‘Bear Factory’ bears. Please note that all bears are stuffed differently, and head, waist, chest, and arm measurements can vary significantly. Please see the listing photos for finished garment sizes to check that this pattern is suitable before buying.

Lining Fabric – 20 inches x 6 inches (50cm x 15cm)
Hook & Loop Tape
Optional Underskirt: Tulle / netting – 31.5 inches x 5¼ inches (80cm x 13cm)
Optional Waistband: Ribbon - 45cm x 2cm

At Best Dressed Bears, we encourage the upcycling of fabric wherever possible. Gently used Cotton, Lightweight Satin, Taffeta are ideal for this project. Remember to ‘bear’ in mind the size of teddy bear clothes, plain fabrics or fabrics with small patterns/stripes work best.
